Company Overview
Octatron has a long tradition of excellence in developing solutions and answering needs for today's military, law enforcement, government, and private sector. By working seamlessly with government agencies and commercial partners, we provide systems encompassing areas of wireless communication, tactical equipment, security surveillance, and emergency response. Our extensive experience in advanced communication systems, sensor electronics, software, and RF communication systems gives Octatron the edge when it comes to solving tomorrow's problems today.

Founded in 1998 as a commercial entity within the business group held by CHANG Industry, Inc., Octatron markets the premier line of technological breakthrough products developed by CHANG Industry, Inc.

Octatron’s law enforcement connection started with contracts from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) to develop (millimeter-wave) concealed weapons detector and multi-sensor portals. The NIJ and USSOCOM efforts resulted in the Pole Camera and Dragon Egg™ wireless video surveillance systems. The work with USSOCOM on FORMNET (Force Multiplier Network) produced the commercial version NetWeaver™ and NetWeaver™-centric systems. Development is currently underway on our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), SkySeer™. This product will be capable of airborne video surveillance in an autonomous flight, expandable with the NetWeaver™ and the rest of the product family.

Octatron’s headquarters are located in St. Petersburg, Florida. The main engineering force and manufacturing plant are located in La Verne, California, and the product verification and testing center is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition to the company headquarters in Florida, Octatron maintains branch offices in North Carolina, Montana, Kentucky, and Washington, DC to serve domestic customers.
